The City of Lake Forest is re-installing the gate at the Top South entrance of Forest Park Beach, with activation scheduled for Wednesday, June 25. This update is part of ongoing efforts to ensure safety and improve traffic and parking management in the lower south parking lot.
To access the Lower South Parking Lot, beachgoers must have a Lower South Lot Parking Permit. The area is designated as permit-only parking, and the gate will only open for vehicles with an active permit. This measure helps control overcrowding, supports emergency access, and ensures that only those with authorized access are using the lot.
Permits are available for purchase at the Recreation Center, located at 400 Hastings Road. If you're planning to park in this lot this summer, please secure your permit in advance and help us keep Forest Park Beach safe and enjoyable for everyone.
