Lake Forest Dance Academy is the perfect place for children to begin their dancing journey!
As a member of the National Dance Education Organization, Lake Forest Dance Academy implements the organization’s Standards for Dance in Early Childhood, ensuring our dancers have the capability and support they need to grow. The standards outline the importance of dance education throughout one’s entire life, beginning as early as infant years.
Why start dance classes so early? Beginning dance classes during Early Childhood aids developmental progression, contributing to neurological, social, motor, and cognitive development. Our preschool classes follow the Standards for Dance in Early Childhood to guide our dancers in their learning, including performing, responding to, and interconnecting dance. And of course, Lake Forest Dance Academy gives our young dancers the chance to express themselves and their creativity!
At Lake Forest Dance Academy, we are excited to offer numerous preschool dance classes, with programming for toddlers starting at age 2. To register for these classes, dancers must meet the age requirement by 9/1.
