INCLEMENT WEATHER

Should the Recreation Center close due to the weather or circumstances beyond our control, dancers should makeup classes in another class at the same level or below. Teachers may choose to schedule a makeup day should the calendar allow.

We are committed to offering our dancers a safe and clean environment. You can count on us to stay on top of the current guidelines and safety measures. Thank you for dancing with us!

Please read the following procedures that have been implemented in accordance with Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois Guidelines:

  • Class sizes will be limited and physical distancing markers will be in place.
  • All students should be dropped off no more than 5 minutes before class and picked up immediately after class.
  • Please keep your child home if they are experiencing flu-like symptoms or if you/your child have had close contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID- 19.
  • Upon entering and exiting the studio, students will sanitize hands with antibacterial gel.
  • Staff will sanitize and disinfect shared surfaces frequently.
  • Dancers should limit the amount of belongings they bring with them to class.
  • Dancers should all bring their own reusable water bottle with water to class. Refillable stations will be open.
  • Updated Guidance for Face Coverings as of 8.30.21: Individuals over the age of 2, who can medically tolerate a face covering, must wear one while indoors.

We will continue our cleaning measures and continue to practice social distancing in classrooms. As we begin to return to more of what we remember, we understand that some families may need or want to be more cautious.

LFDA COVID-19 Policy:

  • Program participants should stay home if they are showing COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Program participants who have recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19 should also stay home and monitor their health.

  • LFDA will, at minimum, mandate that any individual who tests positive for COVID-19 or has recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19 follows the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as it pertains to quarantine, isolation, and return policies.
