While summer 2020 is certainly looking different than any other past year, we are confident that our residents and guests will be able to enjoy our beautiful lakefront and all that it has to offer. In order to remain in compliance with the Governor's Executive order and capacity limitations, please recognize that some changes have been made to insure that you have a safe and fun experience at the beach. Reminder! To park at Forest Park Beach North Lot and South Lot, all vehicles are required to have a City of Lake Forest vehicle sticker. The City of Lake Forest vehicle sticker is also required for overflow parking. To park at Forest Park Beach South Lot, additional permits are required.
A note for non-residents:
Beach Access & Parking:
- The non-resident entrance is located at the north stairs.
- There is a $25 daily fee per person from 9 am - 9 pm. Credit cards only: Visa, MC, Amex, Discover. Sorry, no refunds are given.
- There is no onsite parking. There are public lots located in the business district and at the train station. It is a short 1 mile walk to the lakefront.
- Those interested can purchase a 2020 non-resident parking sticker for the lower north and upper south parking lots for $910.
About our park and beach:
Visitors to our 29 acre park can enjoy the large beach and grass areas. Open year round, park amenities include sheltered pavilions, a fishing pier, boat launching ramp and storage area, walking paths and a concession stand open during the summer months.

LAKE FOREST RESIDENT IDENTIFICATION
Residents will be required to show proof of City of Lake Forest residency at all entrances to the facility. Appropriate forms of identification include driver's license, state ID, school ID, Lake Forest water bill or a Forest Park Beach ID. Proof of Lake Forest residency will be required for everyone using the beach facilities.
Forest Park Beach Parking Enforcement starting september 1, 2020
north lot & upper south lot:
Starting on September 1, all residents that wish to park at Forest Park Beach North Lot and Upper South Lot must display a 2020 City of Lake Forest Vehicle Sticker per City Ordinance 73.45.
2019 stickers will no longer be valid after August 31.
Vehicle Stickers can be purchased:
- Online at https://www.aptvsa.com/lakeforest/resident. You will need the PIN code provided on your renewal notice. If you do not know your PIN number, please email Jamese Scott at email@example.com.
- In person M-F from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at Municipal Services, 800 N. Field Drive,Lake Forest. Face coverings are required to enter the building.

- Parking at the Lower South Lot is by permit only. Permits can be purchased at the Recreation Center, 400 Hastings Road, Lake Forest or the sailing office.
- If your vehicle is registered to an address outside of The City of Lake Forest and does not have a 2020 sticker displayed, you will be ticketed when parking anywhere east of Sheridan Road, including beach parking lots.
- No parking is allowed on the ring road or nearby public streets, with or without a City vehicle sticker or beach parking sticker.
Resident Parking & Capacity Clarifications 6.9.20
Lower North Lot
A 2019 or 2020 City of Lake Forest vehicle sticker must be secured to your vehicle's front windshield.
When the lower north parking lot is full, it is closed until parking spaces re-open.
Once parking spaces become available, vehicles will be allowed to access the lower lot based on the number of spaces open.
At the top, you may be asked to either wait in your car, or circle around depending on the amount of cars waiting. We cannot have cars blocking traffic on Lake Road.
You may be directed to park in overflow parking on the ring road. A City of Lake Forest vehicle sticker is required for overflow parking.
There is no waiting on Lake Road or Ring Road.
There is no street parking.
A small number of cars will be allowed to park in the grass on the ring road.
These spaces will be directed by staff and when full, parking will no longer be allowed until spaces open up.
Parking in this area is for overflow purposes only and will not be filled first.
Note: due to the timing of your arrival at the facility, you may be directed to overflow parking and parking in the lower north lot may open up after you have begun your descent of the stairs.
Upper South Lot:
The upper south parking lot will remain open to patrons displaying the 2019 or 20202 City of Lake Forest or Beach Parking sticker.
Lower South Lot:
The lower south parking lot is for 2020 boat launch, boat storage, and south beach access permits only. Residents may purchase a lower south lot parking permit for $126.00, Resident seniors: $99.00.
For the safety of the public and to insure social distancing, if the beach reaches capacity the City will close the beach to additional walk-ins and parking (both at the north and south parking lots) until capacity decreases.
This decision will be made at the discretion of city staff.

RESIDENT GUEST PASSES
Lake Forest residents can purchase a Guest Beach Parking Pass for $10, limit 5 times per year. Pass must be purchased by a Lake Forest Resident at the beach. Our Recreation Center remains closed.
CONCESSIONS, BEER AND WINE SALES AT THE BEACH
Open until Labor Day - weekends only (Saturday & Sunday) 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Please stop by the Kemper Beverage Cart and enjoy a glass of wine or beer on our beautiful lakefront this summer. Service available in the designated area, weather permitting. Schedule subject to change.
Our Recreation Center remains closed, so South Beach Parking and Watercraft Ramp Launch permits can only be purchased in person at the south beach. You will be directed to the lower level sailing office to purchase your permit. We accept credit cards only: Visa, MC, Amex, Discover.

Daily launch passes will be available to purchase at Forest Park Beach. A fee of $40.00 will be charged for residents launching watercraft that are transported into the facility daily. Additionally, non-resident daily launch passes for 2020 have been suspended. We have a new Watercraft Impoundment Ordinance for watercraft contained in the compound or racks. Please be aware of the policy.

BOATING CENTER REntals
Boating Center rentals are suspended for the 2020 season. We apologize for the inconvenience.
