We offer squash programs for those 8-18 years old and adult racquetball and squash leagues. Our recreation center also provides court members with access to three multi-use courts. Private and group lessons are also available.

Junior & Adult

Pickle Ball is a Tennis based sport, using wood paddles and whiffle balls on a miniature tennis court. This fun, fast paced game is great for players of all ages and skill levels, due to the playing rules, court size and equipment. Come out and take part in this fun and exciting game, which is also a great way to exercise. This program is friendly to newcomers as well as the every day player.

COLLEGE PARK ATHLETIC CLUB

College Park Athletic Club (CPAC) is one of the premier indoor tennis facilities in the country, servicing over 1,500 junior and adult tennis players with a staff of over 30 tennis professionals. CPAC is a state of the art nine-court indoor facility, with recently installed DecoTurf court surface, Sports Interior lighting system, and air conditioned courts. CPAC offers tennis programs for 4-13 year-olds. Programs introduce young players to the game, focusing on hand-eye coordination, motor skill development, proper stroke technique, tennis footwork patterns, fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and court etiquette.

Covid-19 Guidelines & Procedures

Indoor Courts 2021

  • Recreation Center Usage - Recreation Center is only open to currently registered Program Participants and Fitness Center (members). No spectators are allowed for any indoor programming.
  • Group Sizes - Programs will have limited class sizes. Congregating at any time before, during or after Program is not allowed.
  • Sanitization - The Lake Forest Recreation Department has taken extra steps for additional cleaning and sanitization including hand sanitizing stations and equipping Staff with hand sanitizer and proper cleaning supplies.
  • Social Distancing - Participants will be expected to maintain 6 feet of social distance at all times.
  • Equipment - Sharing of supplies and equipment will be limited and any items that will be shared will be thoroughly sanitized between usages.
  • Face Coverings - All Lake Forest Recreation Department Program Staff must wear face coverings while instructing a Program. Program Supervisors will specify regulations and policies as it pertains to Face Coverings and Participants pre-program.
  • Water Bottle - Public water fountains will not be available inside the Recreation Center. Program Participants should bring their own water bottle and may use non-contact refillable water stations.
  • Food Delivery - There will be no food delivery accepted to the Recreation Center.

COURT SPECIFIC GUIDELINES & PROCEDURES

  • Facility Entry / Check In - All players will enter and exit through the South entrance of the facility. All players MUST check in at the LFRD Fitness Center desk and pay prior to play. Player's temperatures will be taken there and players will need to sign a participation waiver upon entry, before each reservation. Once checked in, players will be directed to the courts. Players assigned to Court 1 and Court 2 will enter the common area through the South court doors. Players assigned to Court 3 will enter and exit the common area through the North court doors. A partition will separate the North and South ends of the common area. No players shall cross the partition at any point.
  • Reservation System - Any court reservation MUST be made no less than 1 day in advance and no earlier than 2 days in advance (with limited times available, we need to make sure there is enough time for everyone). Walk in play is not allowed. Players may not enter courts any more than 15 minutes prior to reservation time and must leave common area within 15 minutes of court reservation end time. Courts will be available on a per hour basis with 60 minutes blocked off between reservations to allow ample time for cleaning and sanitizing. Please allow enough time before your reservation for proper check in. Reservation times are set and will not be extended or adjusted under any circumstance. Any reservation on Court 1 may not be the same as a reservation on Court 2 and vice versa. There will be no partition between these two Courts as they will use the same entry and exit point in and out of the common area. To make a court reservation, please call LFRD Fitness Center Desk at (847) 810-3932. Each player should have ID on hand at check-in as staff will need to verify residency.
  • Fee Structure - Fees apply to 60 minutes of game play, per individual. Credit or Debit cards only, please. No cash will be accepted at check-in.
    • Lake Forest Resident - $8
    • Non-Resident - $10
  • Memberships - Memberships will not be reinstated until the Rec Center is able to be fully reopened and any new memberships will not be taken until this time.
  • Game Play / Regulations - Only 2 players will be allowed in a specific court at one time (as reserved) and players may not bounce from court to court. Face coverings must be worn at all times, even when not playing. They may be removed to drink water (please see 'water bottle' guidelines above). Game play is limited to 60 minutes. Players are expected to arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to reservation time and expected to leave the common are within 15 minutes after the conclusion of reservation.
  • Court Common Area - There is absolutely no congregating in the common area before, during or after game play.
  • Locker Rooms / Towels - Players will have access to Public Locker Rooms and showers. No towels or any toiletry will be available or provided by LFRD. Players will be expected to be prompt when using the locker rooms and exit the facility in a timely manner.
  • Infraction of Guidelines - The inability to follow these guidelines will result in immediate ejection from the facility without refund. Multiple offenses may result in expulsion from court usage until further notice. There is zero tolerance.
